I already have an Outlook, Yahoo and Google mail account but I want to create one that will be for public use in different forums and websites. Maybe also start blogging and twitter.

1- Which one offer more privacy?

2- Which one offers better customization features?

3- Which one is more "friendly" for multi-web tasking?

4- Which one is more easily connected to different websites and forum features like in-mail feedback of your forums and websites replies of other people?

Thank you !

I'd take an entirely new provider, otherwise logging in to the different accounts will be annoying, and Google will want to combine them. Which one that should be though I've no idea about.

I'd look for something that supports IMAP but that's only because I hate anything with ads and still have a love affair with thunderbird.

Not if you don't want to have one saved in the browser.

Outlook is not easy to switch between, at least not in the browser.

Thunderbird + IMAP (which gmail supports) makes all this easy.

IMAP people. It's not some 90s era shenanigans acronym, it's a real useful thing you should know how to use.

Yah I know, I use it (not for Gmail though, don't remember the reason but whatevs) and it's good depending on the client. Last year a co worker lost all her mail (it luckily wasn't a lot and it wasn't very important) older than 6 months when I reinstalled her machine and Windows Live Mail. I don't remember what it was now, but at the first connection it just got mails from six months past and removed the rest from the server. I just thought "Hey IMAP yeah let's use that" and then her mails were gone, so one should be careful about it and it requires more knowledge than POP3.

EDIT: Thinking about it, it was probably a "remove from server if removed from client" box ticked somewhere, but I don't remember what in WLM did it... It was a fresh download as well, so it wasn't some old beta version of Outlook Express or something.

It will save more than one. Then just switch between. Unless I don't understand what your talking about

I mean if you don't want one of the mails to appear on the list, for whatever reason.

I use gmail with Windows Live Mail but I don't use IMAP since I want to leave a copy of all mails on the server once I deleted a mail in WLM.
If I really want to remove all old mails (sometimes I do) I login to gmail in my webbrowser and delete my old mails.

I don't need to hide from governments agencies or whatever it's only for TPU and some other fun websites. So generally speaking which one is more suitable for forums and websites with games like War Thunder, Kraland, etc ? I will also use it to create a new Facebook account that is not personnal and that wil be used for my public profile.

Just make another gmail, half of the sites you want to use it on allow you to sign in using a google account anyway.

I'd have to agree with the general trend. I'd just go for a second Gmail account. Yes, there will be a little fuss here and there with multiple accounts (I have two myself), but it's not all that bad. If it really doesn't work for you, there's always the option of deactivating the second account.
You can sign in to both accounts at once by using the "Private Browsing" mode of whichever web browser you prefer for the second e-mail account. Again, not a completely ideal option, but it shouldn't be too bad of one.

Actually it is. I'm always logged into my Google Apps account for work plus my personal GMail account. Google makes account switching easy. It used to be super finicky but, it has got a lot better. I can even still be logged into my personal GMail and still use our SSO to get into my work email while I'm still in my personal email. All in all, as of late, I haven't had an issue with it.

If you require privacy, host your own email service or create your own domain and get a trustworthy host. Nothing is private online with those companies as you agree to them doing anything they want with your data when you sign up. If you are not overly fussed, I would probably suggest Gmail.

I think Gmail has the best customization features compared with Outlook and Yahoo. I also think Gmail to be the 'friendly' one for multi-web tasking.

Replies from other people and features such as in-mail is dependant on the website and forum which differs from site to site. I believe they are all equal in this regard.

You can always use something like Microsoft's Outlook to have all your accounts logged in at the same time. With IMAP you can have everything synced, always. This includes calendar's, schedules, mails, contacts etc etc.

To add to this.. Many free services "read" your e-mail to deliver targeted advertising. I put read in quotation marks because it's not that group of popular girls from high school snickering to themselves while they read your e-mail, it's a computer. That computer looks for keywords. If it sees "pool" and "barbeque", you're probably going to get ads for lawn chairs and tiki torches. Maybe your e-mail was "Barbeque the bodies in the pool. We can't have the cops find them." Google doesn't know. Google doesn't care.
In return for this, you get an incredibly secure e-mail account with zero maintenance.

If you would prefer not to have even Google's computers poke through your messages, you can buy a Google for Work account ($5 a month). Honestly, kind of worth it even for a personal account.

It does, but what if I'm at a shared computer and don't want my account to show up on the list? That's what I'm on about.

Pah. I encrypt everything in ROT13. Just for extra security, I do it twice. Crack THAT, NSA!

Any game related sites I chat on I like to use Gmail, because it links to YouTube and makes it really easy to get info imediately on YouTube video responses and such, which many gaming sites including TPU link with now.

Every time I think there might be a more secure browser than Chrome or better vid hosting than YouTube, it turns out to be jsut more hassel. Same goes for email, Gmail is prettty good. Chrome and Gmail have about the best balance of accessibilty and security and features you can get, esp for free.
