So you got some more quests to do, and a few more dungeons to crawl, but the end result is the same ; in a week or two you've seen the new content and you're back to ;yawn; raids with their demented drop / loot mechanics and boring / lack of strategy.

We had this convo a long time ago, I'm not even playing to raid, I'm playing to have some fun. But I think you got it backwards, remember Funcom created instances and leet speak, 2 of the biggest things to ever hit mmo's. Either way, I'm not discussing weather or not I feel it's worth it to play it, because I do. And if others want to join me for some fun, then thats cool, you don't think it's worth it, thats fine, but I'm not really here trying to find out if others hate it, just want to find some people to party with and hit some instances.

I enjoyed this game at launch, a lot, I just ran out of content, twice, the contents there, so this should be enjoyable.

Sweet, I just made a Demonologist, just got outside tortage, tattoos for the new race are awesome, and you can even have a fuman chu, and DX10 seems to be working better for me now, took this screenshot right before I logged (feeling tired)

This game still just amazes me for an MMO, graphics are unreal.

Got it installed. I've been having some freezing issues when using their downloader, so it took a while. I made a character, name is Socialist on Set. I upped the settings this morning before I took off for work and it froze at the GFWL screen on load, so I've got some tweaking to do.

I'll be on tonight to play a little, but I have to go entertain the little lady around 11 or so.

Yep, nice pick out on the name, its usually what all my warlock or demonologist characters are named in games, I added the a to the center as thats how I thought it was spelt before, then ended up liking it.

I should be on later tonight, you got a steam or xfire name, I'm 1Kurgan1 on both, I have tweaked my settings a bit and looked into somethings, so might be able to help you troubleshoot.

DX10 is still hit or miss, even with a 6 core and 2x 5850's, I wouldn't play it in DX10 maxed out if I was playing competitively, but I'm playing for fun, so I want it to look awesome, which it does.

Not sure which downloader you grabbed. I tried the new aoc including rotgs downloader first (AoCLiveUS-2010-04-09.exe), which constantly fails during download with null cache space errors. However, the regular AoC downloader (file is just called data-en.exe) works perfectly fine for me.

Yeah and thats not at the 1920x1200 i play at, a tpu capture of a screen, notice the text is hard to read.

Yeah, I saw that. I'm so stoked to get home and fire this up. I haven't been excited to play an MMO in a while. Likely, I will play and at least get a character to max level and in some decent gear before I ragequit.

It's going to be fun learning new mechanics and strategies. Specializations and talents are going to suck to learn though.

Edit: Also, I want that cloak.

You need to have boughten the collectors edition to get it, you should see my account bonus items. At level 1 I have on an epic ring, a blue ring, and a cloak, on any character I ever make. I also got 2 mammoths, a rhine, and numerous other things I can't use till later. I think a helmet, a bow, 3 male tattoos, 3 female tattoos, a exta path thing, some fire works, can't remember the rest.

I have the original collectors edition, I bought the collectors edition for the expansion, and I bought the might of crom bonus set, so I think I got every bonus item out there.

Eh, I spent the money on the original collectors edition and I loved the game, till I ran out of leveling content, then made a new character and ran out of it again. And I been wanting to go back, I also have spent almost 4 grand on my car in the last month and a grand on my comp, so I figured, go big or go home, and been buying anything I want lately

the thing is, the expansion link actually downloads for me its jus a hugeee download... the regular one installs some stuff and then qwhen i launch it the patcher hangs
