Remedy Entertainment is proud to announce the PC release of Alan Wake. Coming in early 2012, the game will give PC gamers the Alan Wake experience they have been patiently waiting for. Remedy is a developer with deep roots in the PC space (Death Rally and Max Payne 1 and 2), so the game will have the high resolution polish that longtime fans will expect.

The PC version of the game will also include The Signal and The Writer downloadable content.

Alan Wake tells the story of a best-selling writer suffering from writer’s block. He goes on vacation to the small town of Bright Falls with his wife, Alice, to gain back his creative flow. Shortly upon arrival, Wake finds himself trapped in a nightmare when his wife mysteriously goes missing. He keeps finding pages of a manuscript he apparently wrote, but can’t remember writing. The manuscript is coming true. An involving psychological action thriller, Alan Wake raises the bar in storytelling and creating a suspenseful cinematic experience.

Not sure if I care.. Perhaps once this game is released for the PC, I'll wait a good long while to buy it at a reduced cost. It's an old game afterall, I hope just because it's "new" to the PC they don't charge "new" prices for it.

Yes, this should have been released on PC 2 years ago. 2012 is too late. They need to price it like FarCry was when it was launched... price it bargain and too cheap to miss. Only way to get some decent sales numbers now.

It was totally worth it too. Awesome game and I'll buy it for PC too.

Couldn't care less really. And will probably not buy it ever. They treat us PC gamers as garbage and then hope for some easy cash freakin decade after the console release. Well FU.

Yeah, unless they have updated it but i have this horrible thing that they are just after some easy cash and it don't look as good as it did back them..

But hopefully they have gave the game a good going over for the PC even if it's DX10. Lets face it the game was due at a real bad PC time with MS's DX.

To me Skyrim looks good and thats DX9 so i could still possibly be happy with how this one looks as long as they updated it..

I'll wait to see the pricing, and then likely buy it used for $15 on the 360.

Haha, this is funny. I remember when Alan Wake was announced like in '05 to be this uber PC exclusive game to show off Vista and quad cores. They showed off this tech demo showing amazing graphics (for its time) and fancy physics (remember the tornado?).

    ...meh...

I stopped caring when a couch beat my PC (M'soft's explanation for the Alan Wake's exclusivity). After how they treat PC gamers over the years, trust is not there anymore. They are now treating them as if they are some long lost great buddy that they haven't seen in decades. As if they are only friendly with those losers because they have some ulterior motives...

    ...wait...a..minute...

Alan Wake was supposed to be a Windows Vista launcher, wasn't it?

But, PC gamers get to play it two year later with Windows 8's launch hot on its trail and...

Nah, scratch that. I'm over-thinking some imaginary details again.

Alan Wake still won't be in my list for Games-To-Get for 2012.

You little beauty, I loved it on xbox 360.

Now two things - don't lock the fps to 30, and include all of the DLC for nothing.

You'll pass on it only because it took too long to release? What a lame excuse to skip over a quality game.

Speak English much? I had a hard time reading that post.

For the record I bought my Xbox 360 this year. I also bought Alan Wake this year. I played the game and it's fantastic. Sure visually it's not the best out there but it has a fantastic story, great voice acting, loads of atmosphere and a wonderful soundtrack. It's a solid game.

Why am I in this thread? Because I like the game and plan to buy it for the PC. I have a strong feeling that even if they don't add any additional content; it will still have cleaner graphics and I'd love to play this title with mouse and keyboard.

Why did I comment on your post? Because this is a public forum and I have that right. I honestly think that not playing a game just because it didn't release fast enough is a lame excuse (er reason) to not play it.

I mean if you played the 360 version and thought it was rubbish then by all means I could understand why one would not buy it for PC. If you played it on the 360 and don't want to play it again on the PC thats quite fine too. Or maybe it's not your type of game, doesn't look interesting, you don't like the DRM or the company that made it...those all all better reasons to not play it.

You don't have to play it and I don't care if you do or don't. I just think your reason for not wanting to play it is lame. ;)
