All games keep crashing?????

Hey so i just got a new motherboard and cpu but now my graphics card isnt working properly, after about 5+ minutes all the games i have tested crash but i can play at low settings just fine with no problems at all its just when i turn settings up.

What ive tried so far:
Updating BIOS
Updating drivers
Installing windows updates
Running memtest (no errors)
Testing 1 RAM stick at a time
Checking temps
Reinstalling windows XP


Specs:
AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz
2GB DDR2 (667 Mhz) RAM
X1950XT 256MB PCIe

your X1950XT 256MB could max CoD4? Did you overclock it to get it to do that - if yes, could be that you fried your card.

First turn the fan up to 100% and test and if still an issue clean the dust out of the graphic card cooler and test again.

the x1950 has VRM problems, check if it is overheating.
There are lots of dead x1950s on the net these days. just get a new GFX

and by crashing you mean what? BSODing to desktop? Freezing completely?

New mobo should mean fresh installed O.S. so be sure your O.S. is fully updated and then install Cats.

If reinstalling windows doesn't fix it then it's a hardware issue. I'm banking on the X1950.. Sounds like the GPU memory is messed up, when it just closes instantly like that, that's usually a memory miscalculation.
