Am I just unlucky?

Hey all,

In recent months I've bought 2 Corsair H100's and a H80. Great performance and very acceptable noise-levels, however ...

From day one, one of the pumps made a slight rattling noise (think HDD clicking, only faster and slightly less loud). After sending it in for RMA (which Corsair was VERY helpful about) the second kit as well as the third one have started making this noise. At first occasionally, now constantly. I'll be sending them in for RMA while using the intel stock coolers, but I've been wondering if I should install the new units Corsair will send me. Will the noise just return or have I been incredibly unlucky?

So, do I sell the RMA's and just go with a high end air cooler or should I give Corsair another go with their WC-kits?

I don't have a Corsair water cooling kit, but my pump makes a clicking sound when the it is cavitating. This may be stupidly simple, but are you mounting the radiator/reservoir above or below the pump? If it's below the pump then any air pockets will be at the pump and will cause it to cavitate and click.

The pump in my 920 is totally silent, I cannot hear it even with all the fans off.

I have an H60, totally silent, I have heard of others having issues with all of the 100/80/60's, you just got unlucky imo. Id give it another shot with corsair, they seem to be really good with customer support however, it isn't fun to RMA something 3 times...
