    Bought a cpu already.

I am going to get a am3+ board and I need a cheaper cpu to put into it. I am looking for sub $100, and preferably around the $50 or less range. It all depends on what you have. If you had a good deal on a 8350 I would take it but I don't think anyone is willing to sell a cpu like that for the price I am willing to pay.

I have a brand new corsair cx600 watt psu I would be willing to trade. Might put cash with it depending on what you have. It has been opened and used for about 30 minutes. Will probably be used another couple hours tomorrow. I got it for a secondary system but decided I needed something with more wattage.

$100 or less for a FX? good luck because the FX 8320 is about $180.

As I said, I do not expect that. I was trying to say it does not matter what you have as long as the price is right.

What I am looking for^ An am3 or am3+ to go into an am3+ board. I am not specific for a reason because it could be some 3 core Athlon am3 for cheap.

If nobody has anything I will just buy something off newegg.

You can always pickup a 1045T and a Biostar A880GZ (AM3+) for $130-140 total (brand new)... I run a couple of these boards and chips and they run fairly well*

*note- had an issue with 1 board out of 3 purchased (1 had issues and got a replacement- currently a spare).... the other 2 are currently crunching 24/7

I have seen a 1045t on amazon for $95. I would get that or a fx6100 for $104 on newegg I was looking at. I was thinking about even just getting a $60 athlon quad core off newegg too. Maybe even less. I can always upgrade to something more later, right now I just want cheap.

The motherboard I want to have 3 pcix 16 slots cause I want to run 3 gpu's from the board. I am not sure on which board I am going to get yet.

That 1045t is not bad for the price but would need to have someone to ship it to me adding to the cost. I would be happy with that in the long run. I don't need that much cpu power right now.

The cheapest am3+ board I found was an asrock that comes with 8gb free memory. Even has a on board power button which I find to be nice for when I run in on a bench table setting.

    Any interest in this combo?

    "#1. AMD Phenom II X6 1055T w/GA-880GM-D2H - 150 shipped
combo included: CPU, mobo w I/O plate, Kingston 1x2GB DDR3 ram stick."

Some dude at AnandTech is selling it. Here's his Heatware. However, he had a bad run in with sneekypeet recently so I warn you to proceed with caution. If you are interested, ask plenty of questions and press for details.

I've got a lapped 965 BE I'd sell for $50. It won't overclock beyond 3.8ghz with any amount of cooling or voltage, but it runs great otherwise.

If you got the CPU you should close the thread to prevent that :)

Under Thread Tools, choose close, or post a reply and close it under the advanced reply options.
