A lot of movement. I would say that is doing nice job simulating gravity.

WAYYY too over exaggerated movement !! :wtf: If the car actually handled with that much body roll, it would be a station wagon..............

The exageration is to simulate g-forces, which body roll doesn't translate 100%.

True but............... DAMN !!!!!!!!!!!! You would need a neck brace. I would hate to see what would happen if he hit a wall\car at full speed. If he didn't have his belts on, time for a new face and monitor...

It was quite apparent though that's he's avoiding reaching high speeds. The highest would be right before he intentionally spins out of the track and through the sand/gravel/grass/whatever's there on the side that's not a wall.

Monitor is not moving related to his view so it is not simulating body roll but g-force.

Heh. Seems like that would be a mod for the future...makign the monitor move so as to simulate body roll...

That's some serious software work to get that all working right...I actually planned to build a somewhat similar unit, but using eyefinity...unfortuantely my eyefinity troubles have put a big hold on doing so.

With that amount of body roll it must be an american car he is driving.

I've already seen a racing seat like this, two years ago. But it was the one in this video. The guy is playing Richard Burn Rally. In my opinion it accurately replicates the rally car in question. It can be that bumpy. The thing is, not much games have the programming to simulate this. Which is a shame, because I would love to have one of this seats. :D
For fighting simulators i would say a suit with air pockets that would inflate simulating the compression due to G-Forces, air pressure and, in case the airplane is upside down, lifting from the sit. That would be awesome!

They actually have this type of suit, and have since I was a little kid. I dunno about available to the public, but they do exist, as does the supporting software, etc.

I refuse to buy any more gas than my usual 4 litres a year, for my lawnmower.

If I could get a decent eletric car for $3000, then I'd be all over THAT too, but unfortunately, even Nissan's Leaf costs 11x that.
