    Hello.
I'm trying to make a little/cheap pc for a friend.

    Arctic-Cooling Freezer 13
    MSI 970A-G43
    G.Skill F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR Sniper
THERMALTAKE Smart Series 530W 80 PLUS
NOX Coolbay SX USB 3.0 Control Vent.

    GTX460 1GB (reused. Future upgrade)

He has a budget of arround 400€
And the main doubt is the processor.
Does it worth the extra 40€ from the 6300 to the 8320?
He doesn't wan't to overclock it.

    Here are the prices:
    6300 - 113€
    6350 - 123€
    8320 - 153€

Without changing the rest of the pieces, which one would you choose?
    Thanks.

Go with what you can afford. Yes the 8320 is better so it would be the best choice.

If editing videos or folding or something similar is needed, then 8320 is worth it. For everything else, 6300 is perfect.

I forgot to say that mainly for gaming, and the typical web surfing and multimedia use.

The idea is to get a good price/quality computer. Maybe in one or two years, buy a new graphic card without needing to change anything else.

4 Floating Points are better than 3. 6300 is good for gaming, but the 8320 is inevitably better for those games that can use the extra point (8 integer modules if the game is capable of using them)

    Ok, 8320.
This will be a big change. Now he has a 6400+.

    Thank you.

I use the FX6100 and it has been awesome. Obviously the 8320 would be better than the 6300 but I can say that even the 6300 will be quite decent if you cannot afford the extra 40€ =)

The 8320, the few extra dollars is well worth the performance gains.
