AMD 780G's are on newegg and their pretty cheap

    It works with graphics cards that support hybrid crossfire.AFAIK 3850 doesnt support it but the 3650 and 3450 do but I think the automatic reduction of the 3850's clocks and reduction of fan speed shouldn't make much difference.

    I thought all of the hd line was supposed to support hybrid crossfire. they should have drivers out soon for them cards to work.

    3850/3870 all have inside powerplay
    the powerplay was designed to dynamic increasing/decreasing speed of the gpu fan in relation with gpu clock speed

    but inevitable powerplay work in same mode that cool and quiet work for cpu

    when the gpu dont run 3d games, the powerplay reduce the gpu speed to ~50% from default speed. in this mode reducing the gpu speed will reduce the power consummation and the gpu will lower the hit emission
