I don't see why anyone would consider a downgrade simply to be running a certain brand...

All of your components do match. The tabs fit in the slots and use all the same connections as any other hardware. Brand doesn't matter. The GTX 295 is the fastest card available. Keep it.

Yepppp. I agree. No need to change hardware because you feel it doesn't belong together or something of that nature. The GTX 295 is an amazing piece of hardware, love it and use it! AMD or Intel, the GTX 295 is a badass card. I had a GTX 260 with an AMD motherboard and CPU and I felt completely fine with it because it was the best card for my money at that time. Since the 4870X2's dropped in price, I sold the 260 and now have a 4870X2. I'm all about the best bang for the buck. :rockout:

Im keeping the card and plan on spending some cash on water cooling the cpu and gpu.

End of debate. Lol

anyone care to mention why my new mobo not much better than its nvidia rival m3n-ht deluxe???

I wAs advised that the phenoms run better/overclocked more than on an nvidia chip set.

Seems the same to me.

Oh well. At least ive got aod to play with.

That was true for Nforce 4 in the s939 days, even with AM2 with the 590 chipsets. AMD chipsets have come a long way.

There are a few things I liked about nForce. It hasn't lost its shine. When it comes to jobs related to the chipset, and of course pure performance, nForce is pretty nice. AMD 790FX isn't all that better than nForce 980a SLI:

That review shows how NVIDIA cards have no problems working on AMD chipset, and vice versa.

nForce has solid storage and USB sub-systems, thanks to the single-chip design.
