You can shuv iRacing up iRacings ARSE.

I had a Stuards Enquiry over Xmas because a complete COCK crashed into the back of me and then someone else crashed into them.

What a nightmare.LOL

I'll never go back into the iRacing arena until they drop that stupid safety license. The guys in that sim are WAY,WAY tooooo serious and iRacing think its OK for other drivesr to speak to me LIKE shit.

Sorry, I'm rambling.LOL

I got a load of abuse and when I complained, iRacing said "Hey, they get upset because there safety license drops".....

WHAT.THE.F^&K

What about my kids saying "Why are they swaering at you daddy????"

Hey, If I want abuse ill go onto Xbox Live.LOL

Anyway, you guys are cool on this forum. Dont get getting too serious when I ask stupid voltage questions.LOL

Have a nice night (day)

I'm goign for 3.8G tonight.

Hang tight.

R.

Well after a week of overclocking the 965be c3, i can confirm that the only way of hitting a stable 3.9+ is only possible with water.

So, anyone saying i have a stable 4g is talking bs.
Yes, ive hit 4g and ran a 12hr test using amd aod, but once you use prime95 or start playing games, things go wrong.

In dirt2, you loose sound.
In crysis warhead, you get bsod.

So, im staying at my solid 3.7g and will not buy another chip until the new 6core hit the shelves.

Save your money, and buy an advanced water kit to push these chips to 4g and beyond.

Dont get sucked into the hype like i did.

Like every other processor on earth...your results may vary. :toast:

It doesn't mean that anyone was lying that they can do 4Ghz without problems (because some of really can...and we didn't need a C3 to do it), it just means that YOU weren't able to do it yourself. You're using different hardware than the majority of us with our Phenom II's, and we all have differing levels of setup knowledge which means a lot. Of course cooling is a big part of it as well, and we don't know what kinda temps or voltages you were using.

I see you run a Cooler Master V8 as your cooler (so do I right now), but that's about all we know for your cooling. Is it lapped (if not how's the base...have you checked?), is your processor lapped (if not again how's the base?), how are your system case temps, how's the airflow, how's the temps on the rest of the components. etc. etc. etc.

A lot goes into trying to get 3.8-4Ghz to run stable so you've gotta be on point to get that stable....especially using air cooling. I personally don't think it's really worth it/necessary in the first place as NOTHING requires near that much speed anyway, but to each his own. :toast:

I attatched a couple screens of my 4Ghz testing just for fun. The first one was close to being perfectly stable, but gave me an error during extreme testing though it took a while. The second one passed with flying colors, and never gave me any issues. I don't run that sort of speed daily as it's useless to me, I pair my system down to a level just a tick above what's needed for optimal performance in all programs/games which I've worked down to 2.65Ghz @ 1.040v cpu| 2.25Ghz @ 1.10v Northbridge| 2Ghz HT Link| 1333Mhz @ 1.60v 6-6-5-16-11 1T 90ns ram|

Still workin my way down the ladder, I've tested down to 2.2Ghz already and didn't have any real issues though I think it will need a slight bump up from there to be perfect. Of course not everyone is going to do this, some people like excessive power, some people like efficiency....I'm the latter. :D

by the by thought I'd add best way to stress test your cpu. prime 95 ( max heat mode) and just use your computer as normal, load up firefox and your usual programs after starting the stress test.

Generally if it can pass 10 times whilst your using your computer as usual then your good to go :p

rather then waiting 4+ hours it just doing its own thing D:

Also I just looked at your specs and see that you're running 3.8Ghz @ 1.50v to be stable.........myself and a few others around here (I'm on 955 C2 others have C2 or C3) can run the same clock 100% stable (stablity tested and some even crunch all day every day) 3.8Ghz @ 1.392v.

I wouldn't go out and buy any new shiny parts just to get a specific clock unless you're getting paid for it, or you're just really obsessed, but remember your bios and other system components have a huge impact on what's stable for you...especially the bios. I can even run the 3.8Ghz @ 1.392v clock stable on an $80 Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P budget board (yea....that's not even a 790 chipset OR SB750). All hardware is different, all experience level is different, all of that has to be taken into account before you claim that everyone else is lying or give up lol. :p

Guys im not saying anyone is lying, im just suggesting that maybe people have different ideas at what 100%stable is. Ive seen people on forums getting very excited with new kit and after a couple of days they change there story. Lol

like i said, thanks for the help.

Thanks.

Ok guys, I've been blowing on my CPU block for 24hrs and I'm 100% stable at 4.5G:laugh:

Ummmmmmm

Drinking and overclocking, what a way to waist a good evening.:toast:
