AMD's new 7 series of chipsets will be arriving soon and they are expected to bring a new level of performance to the K8 architecture. However, members at ChileHardware found something interesting while investigating the BIOS of the new chipsets, the AMD AutoXpress feature(s). AutoXpress allows accelerated performance on K10 processors, automatic overclocking of the PCIe bus when using graphics cards based on R580+ or newer, and accelerated data transfers in between graphics card when running CrossFire. It even allow the HyperTransport bus to be double-pumped when using a HT 1.0 processor, through a feature called XpressRoute. There will also be a MemBoost feature that can be used with high-end DDR2-800 and higher memory for lower latencies when using a K8 processor.

If those features are both true and as effective as they claim.. this could be a very good thing.

When giving a citation it is considered correct by the MLA to cite the source your are quoting, regardless of where the information originated. Also, please remember that if you are not happy with something in a news post to comment on it in a more cordial manner, especially if you are not sure you are correct.

This is an English speaking forum, surely it makes more sense to link to an article in English, whether thats the original source or not, a link to an article in Spanish is useless to 99% of Tpu's users, plus The original post here mentions you as the ones who found it anyway

In the interest of friendship I understand the compliance, however it is not needed for JacKz5o to site the "original" source as it wasn't the source used... MLA and APA dictate this, not you metro.

On that subject if I don't get my hands on RD790 Phenom X4 based system soon, I'm going to flip... especially with this new "AutoXpress" feature looming above it. I don't know guys, I've been using AMD since Super Socket 7... there's just something I like about them.

I almost feel I can trust them to be innovative when the pressure is on, perhaps the 700 series chipsets (with both ATi and AMD intellectual property) is just what they need to stand apart from NVIDIA's offerings this Christmas..
