Grab them while they are fresh guys.
I don't quite undeerstand the line:
To be supported in AMD Catalyst 12.4
Does this mean it's not supported in THIS very driver but will be in official 12.4 ?
I'm also confused by the Morphological AA text that says like it only works on HD7000 series and not anything below that. Very confusing changelog...
Join the club. The AMD changelogs often apear to have been written by someone illiterate. I really do wish they could get some driver and written support that was as good as the hardware engineers they seem to have.
However, on a plus note, there are a lot of good reports from folk around forums on this driver, so I am looking forward to testing it tonight.
Could you link to some threads?
I have no clue if this driver already contains MLAA 2.0 or not. Hm, i can try but i wonder if i'll be able to separate the 1.0 and 2.0 just visually...
These drivers cause me to CTD in SWTOR everytime even before the game loads. Rolled back drivers game works fine again.
Ok, these drivers already include MLAA 2.0. The difference is quite noticeable. The text, GUI and chat text in Killing Floor is MUCH more readable now. Still not perfect but light years better than before. Gonna try NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 now...
Looks like it's targeted at HD 7800 Series users.
Other series users should proceed with caution...
Works fine on my HD6950. So far i've tested Killing Floor and NFS HP 2010.
No caution needed. I've been using these for two days with my 7970. They are posted up over at Guru3d and people are really liking these drivers from all series of cards. Green light to install them
These have FINALLY fixed most of my trifire issues and Alan Wake and Skyrim finally work properly!!
Here's hoping they put an end to the random flickers I get every 10-15 minutes!
These are the best drivers since the Catalyst 10.10 which brought MLAA in the first place. Great speed and MLAA 2.0 is superb. I wish there was some kind of slider which could adjust the aggresiveness of the algorithm, because i sometimes have a feel that it could do better. But still, very good edge smoothing of all objects with much smaller impact on performance. And no text distortion and blurring. It's so minimal i was checking it twice if i even have MLAA 2.0 enabled.
well send a report up then, less if the game ur running isnt fully patched
Does this restore saints row 3 performance?
The new Morph AA only works on 7XXX series.
This is an unofficial driver.
These supported features will be officially supported in 12.4
They are assuming you will read the rest of the text about this being a beta driver, unofficially supported "as is" and that you can draw the conclusion that features contained herein will not be supported until driver release 12.4
What that means is that don't go yelling at AMD if something goes wrong with these drivers
Not true, because i can clearly see that MLAA 2.0 is working on my HD6950...
I going to try tonight on my 6950. But this brings up a question I've had.
Is there a tool to show what settings a GPU is using? In other words, validate what is set in CCC?
I am installing this driver, is it a pre-release of the new 12.4? or just the same version just not WHQL'd?
12.3 WHQL 64-bit drivers now released.
We know. http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=163205
TPU also hosts the files which are linked in that news post.
It was in reply to the chap who 4 minutes previous posted he was about to install the older ones...
Actually the driver in this thread is actually newer than the 12.3 WHQL... Because the 12.3 WHQL doesn't (yet) sport the MLAA 2.0 and other newer goodies.
