AMD plans to rebrand all ATI chipsets with its own name. AMD will offer X-, T-, G-, V- and M-class parts. The X chipsets - such as the 480X and 580X, the new names for the CrossFire Xpress 1600 and 3200, respectively - are multi-GPU parts. T, G and V chipsets will be, respectively, top-end, mid-range and budget integrated products. AMD will also incorporate the class of integrated GPU into the product name, using the 'ATI Radeon' label. The M- letter will be for mobile chipsets. The new naming system will apply for all curent chipsets includine future new series.

It's getting bogus by the minute. I ask again, why does it matter so much to them to get rid of ATI? If I said it once I will say it again, its only a matter of time before they want to call ATI video cards AMD video cards. Lets see what happens by Jan 1, 2007.
