Do you( or anyone else) run a stress testing program whilst using the computer as normal?

That's how I see if my over-clocks are stable, watching youtube and using programs whilst I'm under 100% load .

same :p

Yesterday I was a bit tweaking windows and got a bit better clock (as i showed later yesterday) :)

And in the future we will see new 1100T BE :).

Crazy clocks dude LOL Congrats! I'm especially jealous of your CPU-NB clocks, as I was only able to get that on my Athlon II X2 250u (1.6GHz) that I had for a short but and had running at 2900MHz for CPU:CPU-NB:HT :D You tried to drop the CPU-NB, HT and DDR3 down to default to see if it'll take more HTT or CPU clocks?

If my friend comes through, I should have a Phenom II X4 840T and with any luck it will unlock to a full-blown Thuban :rockout: (reports of the few who have gotten one show high success [may even be 100%], and is likely why the 840T and 960T are not offered retail.)

I'm not worried about the support since it's not really anything special. Take that 250u, nothing showed support for it, the MSI board I got for my neighbor's upgrade (785GM-E65 or something) only showed support a little later for the 260u and the tech support had no clue if it would. Worked just fine, booted and was detected at POST as a 250u at the right voltage, clocks etc. :) I mean yes that is a Regor core still, but I don't think this being a "Zosma" core really will make a huge difference since AT the core (pun and no pun intended ) it is just a Thuban :D Now that's not to say I could be wrong because I don't know that much about the inner technical aspects of systems, such as the interaction of the CPUID and BIOS, but look at all the unlocked chips that came up as weird things. There was some that came up as "ENGINEERING SAMPLE", others that turned into weird hybrids of sorts (one I think the system thought was an Opteron of some unknown model), so I have hope! If the BIOS on the board that it comes out of is an AMI, I know someone who might be able to insert the microcode update. We'll see I guess when, and IF that time comes :)

of course, lower NB, HTT and RAMs help you with higher clocks (but not better permormance:))

haha Well true! I suppose if you are going for records of the performance sort, then yea no point :) But likely running lower other bits for 24/7 stable might perform better than a fairly lower core speed and higher NB and RAM, but that's only a guess since my scores don't really improve much with the latter 2

And now I am waiting for 1100T BE chip, hope, it will be simillary or a bit better for OC-need luck for good 1100t chip :)

Do you( or anyone else) run a stress testing program whilst using the computer as normal?

That's how I see if my over-clocks are stable, watching youtube and using programs whilst I'm under 100% load .

Yes, of course. Good way to test overall board stability. I do initial testing without doing anything, and once thats has all passed, I run it again, while surfing, listening to music, or whatever, as personally I feel that this will increase the power that the board is drawing from the psu. IN all honesty, I am not sure if it realyl does anything, but it does give me confidence in my overclocks, for sure.

And now I am waiting for 1100T BE chip, hope, it will be simillary or a bit better for OC-need luck for good 1100t chip :)

I'll lend some of my luck to you. I have seen 1100T for sale, and in stock, but it's priced very high, IMHO.

NOw, that that rig outside...should be cold out there, no? Sub-zero air is still air!

I didn't even know the 1100T was released... or was it just a silent one?

And from today benchmarking....
First, I tried validation, but I got only the same :-/ (4893-4894)
I tried superpi 1M and...not bad think :)

I got too 4760 MHz 1M run at 14.5s ! But I am looser with paint aplication and saving it :-(...I repeat it later, but I had not luck again-all frozed.

Superpi 32M -ufff, first under 15 minutes :). I am in Chew club :D, next higher CPU clock was OK, but not OK for RAM clocks+the same timings for all rounds :-/

Try running the DRAM Termination (for the memory itself) at 120Ohms. I admit I have no clue what impact it has on performance or stability in overclocking or lowering timings, but aside from my chip possibly dying and being able to achieve awesomness for once... I can only figure it to be the BIOS upgrade (which doesn't necessarily make total sense).

I can get that at 1.275v CPU and 1.1v CPU-NB as well, and 5000MHz is from what I can tell stable. 6000 locked up after reloading MaxxMEM :\ 5000 ran ScienceMark continually with out a hiccup! Temperatures never went above the typical 38C while loaded (28C ondie thermal diode) on my air cooler. Played some DiRT2 with CPU-NB at 3600 (CPU 3400) yesterday at 6-6-6-25 1T DDR3-1600 @ 1.94v

http://maxpain.lackeydom.net/Uhhhh... really o_0-Annotated.jpg

I have Verizon Wireless Broadband, witha 5GB/mo cap, which I'm 40mb from reaching, so all of this was done offline. BUT I'm online right now so I'll crank it way up quick and get a CPU-Z confirmation and edit this post. (not to thread hijack mind you, just maybe to help, and to prove I'm not at least editing photos lol)

EDIT: *sigh* OK I guess I wont get a CPU-Z validation... I mean, I did... but they don't record CPU-NB speed >_<

I think, its some bug, because 5000 MHz NB are possible only under LN2 cooling.
