AMD has WHQL Certified DirectX 11 Drivers

    Yup AMD is doing well they also got themselfs a 12 core processor :)

    We may get a dx11 game thats half decent in 2 or 3 years time.

    DXDiag says it is, on Windows 7 64bit, when run in 64bit mode w/ whql checking on.:)

    nice! Go AMD. I agree on a DX11 game though... let's see how long it takes to get one.

    I wonder if these drivers will also enable the Compute Shader for the DX10.1 cards.

    dxdiag isnt realy that useful, it says DX11 even when you got a DX10.1 card

    They don't exist on DX 10.1 cards :(

    Nope, you should look at the DDI version, it says 10.1 even in Vista.
    It is in the display panel, the front page only tells you the version of DirectX API installed.
    The point is the drivers are WDDM 1.1 and is WHQL certified for Win 7.

    DirectX 11 brings Compute Shaders 4.0, 4.1 and 5.0.
    4.0 for DX10 cards, 4.1 for DX10.1 and 5.0 for DX11.

    Compute shaders 4.x should have less performance than 5.0, of course, but they're there and should be usefull.

    I'm counting 14 titles already announced to support it and at least 3 - 5 of those will be out within 1 year, this isn't like the DX10 release.
