oh ... they finally did a live model instead of the 3dCG video giving out a pure theory and a promise of instant win?
let's just hope it will not blow halfway, that would be too bad

man the previous SSC was a pure beauty ... (on opposite ... that one ...) too bad 1,228 km/h (763 mph) was the max for that one (which is quite enough considering it is a bit past Mach1/1225km/h)

This awesome thing is more of a land-based aircraft than a car. :cool:

I remember seeing a mockup of the car at the Farnborough air show a while back, where they had one of the aluminium wheels on display on a table. There was no need to lock it down against theft - it was so heavy I couldn't even move it, let alone lift it!

I even met the car's driver, Andy Green and talked about the project with him.

This is a fine example of British excellence at its best.

I really don't get why anyone else isn't trying to break the record. I mean, he set it back in 1997 and as far as I know, there haven't even been any attempts to best that record except for this.
