any benifit for me to use a dedicated sound card?

    was wondering if i could get some feedback on this ,would i see any benifit if i installed my audigy eax advanced hdsound card? says model(sound blaster sb0090) I had it in my old rig and when i bought this acer I didnt install it and just running the sound off the board.do you think its any use for me to pop it in or leave it? any comments are appreciated Dragon
    says its an audigy gamer edition whatever that means!

    well it put less stress off the motherboard to generate sound and less work off the CPU,using a dedicated sound card always is better than onboard sound just like dedicated graphics card better than intergrated.
    Sound quality off your sound card should be much better than the motherboard.
