Hey, I just ordered 2 HD 6450 1GB cards to upgrade some computers in the house. I realized after paying that the cards do not have HDMI out, only displayport out. I need the video card to work with my HDTV that only has HDMI input since I also need audio, something DVI alone can't do. Would I experience any problems passing both 1080P video and HD audio using either a displayport to HDMI male-female adapter or a straight up displayport to HDMI male-male cable?

The interface is primarily used to connect a video source to a display device such as a computer monitor, though it can also be used to transmit audio, USB, and other forms of data. SO THEORETICALLY speaking it should work. But wait for someone else to confirm.

Houston we have a problem. I bought 2 OEM cards off eBay, they were pulled from a Dell computer.

Would a generic adapter like this or a cable like this work?
