Since it's launch, I've been wanting to get Mortal Kombat X for PC, but I see soooooooo many people with a variety of problems from missing game modes, missing characters, and terrible online connectivity issues. My one friend plays it and has zero problems at 4K res, he said it's a great game, but I really don't want to take a chance paying $60 and becoming very disappointed.

This will be my first fighting game I've played since Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Street Fighter 3rd Strike. I'm happy that I went with my instinct for once and didn't pre-order it. I guess I'll just wait until Steam's summer sale and hopefully they'll discount it at least 20% and have all the problems patched by then.

Besides that, I love it, all of it except the DLC and the price. That said I got it for free so I can't complain.

DLC is dubious as hell, gameplay is much the same (which aint bad). New characters at last, new movesets for all characters, including some classics they kept in.

Still uses UE3 which is totally crap, graphics look like they're 720p.

I love it, but I wouldn't pay $60 for it.

EDIT: Also I didn't have any performance issues even with the V1.0 version. Installed the patch and it didn't make much difference to anything.

The textures looking like 720p on the PC is inexcusable.

me 2. my sister is fan of mk, got nice collection of these games(her fav is mk vs dc universe)
all in all game is fine, something is not balanced(as i think) but overall is good
today played a bit on her computer, later at mine(we use some sharing steam accs to play games:))
she got capped 30 fps(720p) with lowest settings on i5-760+8ram+gtx465, mine config runs it smooth 60fps on ultra but sometimes drops to 10-15 in menu or in beginning of match(every 20-25 mins for 5-10secs)
also havent tested mp cause i'm not fan of this(prefer to compete with person whom i know in fightings)
also just caught sight of it using more than 12GB ram(it's smthg i cant understand:))

PS:
I'm still on the 2008 Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe XBone 360 edition
and the best are scorpion, sub zero and superman is grand(fat, very powerful kicks and all abilities:laugh:)

I hear the actual mechanics of the fighting game are pretty tight. The fact that I have the option to play at 4K res in the near future is the only saving grace for me considering the PC version of the game. Also the fact that Steam will probably put this on sale in June which will give them time to fix all the bugs from day one's release.

Worked fine for me.

I'd rather get it from a well-known legitimate source. If the game turns out to be good by June, I'm happy to pay a reasonable price to own it. I proudly vote with my wallet or become a cheapskate hermit until it's a price I feel is reasonable enough to pay. Besides I don't want to get frustrated knowing I have the game and can't enjoy it to it's fullest.
