2 things that make this title a bit mainstream and WorldofTankish: the target silluetting and the maps that, although higly detailed, do not look like real world battlefields, but made-up scenarios.

Everything is WoTish in AW from game mechanics to interface.
They said that from first day so no surprise here.

Also I'm fine with AW as WoT 2.0 as long as some obvious broken game mechanics are improved in AW (spotting, RNG, damage model and so on).

A focus test was running last weekend for 500 peoples (mostly youtubers/bloggers/media guys) and today first movie appears with gameplay from this test.

At a first glance is all that WoT should be in 2015. From graphics/sounds to gameplay/mechanics.
I'm impressed but I'm waiting my invite to CBT to judge the game for myself.
All I can say for now is that AW looks Very promising for a game in Alpha stage. :respect:

About arty. It's a very delicate subject as all of us WoT veterans knows already. :)
    Some thoughts from a developer.

And also they have a survey about arty.
TBH this is very nice from Obsidian trying to get arty right. :toast:

    PhlyDaily's video.

3 videos and I guess that is enough to make a first impression about this Alpha test. AW looks promising. But WT:GF looks promising at start and look what we have now.
Hoping for the best for AW.
    Until then back to WoT.

Some god awful developers occasionally put hard FPS caps in their games, and/or don't include a VSync option. I've reviewed a few, and it's irritating. Either that or he has VSync on and doesn't realise

In all 3 videos I saw max 60 FPS so it looks like Obsidian capped it at 60 for this test.
Or all 3 guys have VSync ON. :D

i think it is capped by obisidian so it is playable w/o issues. this is very early alpha and most likely they havnt made too much optimizations. it's on cryengine and we all know what cryengine can do to the hardware.
i think they were more interested from gameplay feedback rather then graphic issues complains.
