Hi Guys,
I've recently added a 2nd monitor to my set-up and am having an issue with my Asus (non reference) 5850 GPU. It seems when I overclock the card my new monitor starts screen tearing but when I put it back to default it is OK.
I've Googled this and found out the cause but have yet to find a fix. It seems when I overclock, the memory on the card gets limited in 2D mode to 300mhz (which causes the screen tearing) and it isn't until I start playing a game or do something graphics intensive until my memory goes back to normal.
So my question is - is there a way to make my 5850 stay at constant clocks? Or can I somehow make it so the memory doesn't get limited as much?
Sorry I can't post screenshots or give you the exact numbers as I'm at work at the moment, but any help would be great!
Cheers
Wayne
