asus a8v runs tccd or no?

TCCD is pretty much the best RAM you can get in a 512MB stick and AMD64s love them (remember memory controller is in the CPU not the motherboard) so I would buy them definitely.

Well they're all TCCD and the patriot stuff is the cheapest so I would grab that. I like Corsair personally just because of good experiences but really, TCCD on the Brainpower PCB is the same no matter where you get it.

do you have any suggestions on what should i buy? you think i should go with the ocz ? i really dont care about the money as long its under 200. this is a xmas present. i ordered patriot 2 gb set but they were bad so i returned them. and now i want to know which i should buy

YES, The Patriot is the best memory you could select for the AV8 board.
I have the 2x512mb sticks of XBLK Patriot and have no problems with it.
