ASUS today announced the ET2702 All-in-One PC with a 27-inch widescreen display and the latest 4th generation Intel Core processor. Designed to handle the entertainment and productivity needs of the most demanding users with ease, the ET2702 combines a stylish ultra-slim appearance with an impressive array of the latest PC technology.

The ET2702 features a stunning 2560 x 1440 IPS display and AMD Radeon HD 8890A discrete graphics deliver outstanding 3D performance with the latest games at the highest visual quality settings. 802.11ac Wi-Fi is standard across the range for extreme wireless data transfer rates and seamless HD video streaming, while USB 3.0 and Intel Thunderbolt ports support an ever-expanding range of high-performance wired peripherals and storage devices.

Ultra high-resolution images with stunning sound quality
The ASUS ET2702 All-in-One PC features a 27-inch widescreen display with an ultra-high 2560 x 1440 WQHD resolution. With almost twice the pixel density of a same-size Full HD display, text and images are rendered in exquisite, pin-sharp, detail. IPS display technology brings movies, games and photographs to vibrant life, and images stay bright and clear, even when seen from the side, thanks to 178-degree wide viewing angles.

The ET2702 is optionally available with 10-point multi-touch for a fast and fluid Windows 8 experience, and can connect to three external monitors at once for the perfect space-saving professional desktop set-up. HDMI-in/out ports mean the ET2702 can be used as a WQHD display for Blu-ray players and game consoles, and can connect to an HDTV for big-screen entertainment. A VESA mount and optional TV tuner also allow the ET2702 to be wall-mounted for HDTV use, freeing further desktop space.

Outstanding image quality on the ET2702 is matched by equally impressive sound. ASUS SonicMaster Premium technology combines high-quality audio hardware with powerful internal stereo speakers, while an optional desktop subwoofer gives resonant bass, without the clutter of an external 2.1 speaker set-up.

    High-end performance with next-generation technology
The ASUS ET2702 All-in-One PC is powered by the latest 4th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors with across-the-board improvements in multi-tasking and energy efficiency for cool, quiet and quick performance with even the most demanding productivity software. AMD Radeon HD 8890A discrete graphics deliver an incredible 3D experience with the latest games, too. With wireless transfer rates up to 867Mbit/s with compatible routers, 802.11ac Wi-Fi is around 16 times faster than 802.11g and around three times faster than 802.11n, making the ET2702 capable of streaming Full HD video without the inconvenience of network cables.

    Exclusive ASUS features and software
The ASUS ET2702 All-in-One PC also features exclusive ASUS technology for increased flexibility in households with more than one Windows-based PC. Device Share mode transforms the ET2702 into a sophisticated desktop dock by making its multi-touch display, web cam, speakers and USB peripherals available for use with a notebook PC over a HDMI and USB connection. The ET2702 also features ASUS Ai Charger II technology for faster recharging via USB. Smartphone and tablets recharge in around half the time, even when PC is shut down.

The ET2702 also includes a number of bundled applications, including ASUS Launcher for faster launching of frequently used apps, MusicMaker for music composition and Video Easy for professional video-editing results in record time. 32GB of ASUS WebStorage is also included free for three years for easy cloud-based syncing and sharing of files.

I like the resolution. Perhaps releases like this are a sign that the tyranny of 1080p is finally coming to an end.

No this is the same spec as the Ivy Bridge model. The new things here is the Haswell processor and 802.11ac,....not the resolution,...

4K monitors 3840x2160 and the adoption of UHDTV media is more likely to effect the move away from 1920x1080. So the move away from HDTV to UHDTV is likely to do it and even that wont happen overnight,....

But what is radeon HD 8990 "A"? A google search returned nothing. Might be a typo. Should be "M" I guess.
