With the heavy Tessellation DX11 games (Ex: Lost Planet 2), GeForce GTX 460 has many advantages over Radeon HD 5800.

Remember this is a game built with nvidia products.

The only way to get an accurate tessellation vs tessellation would be to use a game that is optimised for both.

AVP is ATI optimised this is NV optimised.

Hell GPU caps viewer tessellation would be more accurate surely?

The FPS will be obscene but a direct comparison between tessellation performance could be drawn.

( Although has to be said, the fermi GPUS are better at handling polygons than the ATI cards so whilst your probably right, I'd say this wouldn't be the game to base your statement on XD)

I play this same level on the Ps3 some time ago and it sucked, it continues to suck today and because of it i didn't bother to download this benchmark. I couldn't care less what card is faster to play a game that suck ass.

    But kudos for your effort:D

the thing is if you have FPS problems with this game, your better off playing in DX9 mode, cause it looks almost the same as DX11

Especially in this case, seems all you get extra is tessellation and you can't see a massive difference in this game because I think they just added it rather then .. done anything with it.

Out of all the benchmarks available why would you use a benchmark that ATI has not had time to optimize or provide a profile for? That benchmark is a Capcom/Nvidia developed app. And, according to Catalystmaker it was never given to ATI ahead of time to provide a profile for. :wtf:

Lost Planet 2 isn't that great a game anyway it got average reviews and it dropped in price really quick because of that, all the DX11 seems to be used for in this case is the tessellation like everyone has said. Its very unoptimised because the performance hit going to DX11 seems a bit much.

I do like the benchmark mode in the Capcom titles. TBH, Capcom haven't had anything worth buying since Super Street Fighter IV apart from maybe Resident Evil 5 Gold.

Think of the original they tacked on DX10 and it was just a patch not a real use of it.
Oh well nice effort though maybe you didn't know it was Nvidia optimised?

Spoken like a jealous 5870 owner.

Even though it is an Nvidia biased game.....nice to see the 460 can hold up in it.........It'll get crushed in others....but hey...thats the way it goes.....not an accurate realistic bench....but still entertaining. :toast:

so if we posted a benchmark that favored ATI, you'd be a jealous nvidia owner?
