ASUS Launches Smart OC HD 3850

    ASUS, producer of top quality graphic solutions, has today introduced a new way for effective and simple overclocking with the ASUS EAH3850 SMART OC/HTDI/1G. This new Smart OC Series will allow users to increase voltages only when needed with the simple push of a button – providing them with up to 12% performance upgrades. The EAH3850 SMART OC also comes with a patent-approved luminant LED DVI output and stylish back sustainer; while the exclusive Glaciator Fansink will keep the GPU 20ºC cooler than reference designed fansinks. On top of all this, the ASUS EAH3850 SMART OC incorporates a large onboard memory size of 1GB – designed specifically to provide feature-rich DirectX 10 gaming and the best multimedia playback at ultra-high resolutions and maximum quality settings.

    Intelligent and Energy Saving Overclocking with 12% Performance Boosts
    With the ASUS EAH3850 SMART OC/HTDI/1G, voltages can be increased by just pressing the button located above the DVI output to boost performances. In this way, the voltage will only be increased when necessary, ensuring that no extra energy will be wasted at all. When in the high-voltage mode, gamers can expect core and memory clock performance boosts from 669MHz up to 796MHz and from 990MHz up to 1100MHz respectively. Such unprecedented performance upgrades helps elevate the EAH3850 SMART OC’s 3DMark06 score from 8542 to 9585 – an astonishing 12% improvement in speed over reference designed graphics cards.     1100mhz on the mem o_O I can barely get mine to 960mhz! Altho I got my core clocks higher thats still pretty nice :) I like the idea of the over voltage mode too thats pretty cool.
