    Hi all
I have asus maximus iv extreme motherboard
    Intel core i7 3770K
    Corsair dominator gt 1866mhz ram
The problem is that the cpu ratio can't go over 35 and when increase the ram freq to 1866 system won't boot .... The board never behaved like this before but the last time I tried to overclock was a year ago..

Tried clear cmos ... Update bios ..... Downgrade bios ..... Nothing worked
    Any idea about it ??

well what about all the other bios options, you're sure you 'enabled' overclocking or manual settings? is the ram voltage picked up by the XMP?

CPU ratio doesn't OC...you gotta use Turbo multis.

The CPU needs to have Turbo Boost enabled so that it can use multipliers higher than the default multiplier. The default multiplier for a 3770K is 35. Instead of raising the CPU ratio, you need to raise the turbo ratios. There are 4 adjustments whether 1, 2, 3 or 4 cores are active. If using RealTemp, make sure Disable Turbo is NOT checked in the Settings window.

    cadaveca says thanks.
