Thank you very much for taking your time to answer :) , I do appreciate it.

I am going to contact Asus Support as I can't risk that if I ever need to make a warranty claim they say sorry you have wrong bioses thus warranty invalid.

I think you know the difference that occurs in CCC with the quiet and uber bios but for anyone else Link:- PC Perspective Asus R9 290X DCUII OC Review

Shame at present I can't find any GPU-Z screens showing bios data I need.

Disregard the fan profile for a moment ;) .

I can not make warranty claim IMO with one bios as R9 290X OC and other as R9 290X non OC.

*** edit ***

I now know what pairing for a OC R9 290X is

67B0HB.15.41.0.2.AS04A is quiet
113-AD62800-101

67B0HB.15.41.0.2.AS04L is uber
113-AD62900-101
Due to TPU database :lovetpu:, now above would get updated respectively by the Asus R9 290X OC bios update available on Asus support site.

Now for non OC R9 290X I have to look for same.

omg this is like conversing with a brick
its like that from the factory there is no issue one bios has the "oc" profile (uber) the the other one is the standard model "quiet" the oc and non oc are the same card identical in every aspect
the "oc edition has a slightly extended overclocking limit vs the non oc" physically they are identical cards
if it was like that out of the box leave it the fuck alone you messing with it will void your warranty

Sorry for having upset you.

Uber does not mean a card which is supposed to be 1000MHz GPU 5000MHz RAM would be 1050MHz 5400MHz it is fan profile , temp target , etc difference between uber and quiet.

TPU review of Asus R9 290X DCUII OC Edition

This little switch lets you switch between a quiet BIOS and a performance BIOS, just like on the original AMD R9 290X reference board. Our testing saw no performance difference between these BIOSes, which is good. You basically pick either higher temps and lower noise or lower temps and more noise, with the second option still quieter than the AMD reference design.

The non OC is also the same, anyhow fixed it :) .

67B0HB.15.41.0.2.AS10A is quiet bios

I applied flash file 113-AD62600-103.rom from Asus support site non OC R9 290X update file, in GPU-Z show as 113-AD62600-104

67B0HB.15.41.0.2.AS10L is uber bios

I applied flash file 113-AD62700-103.rom from Asus support site non OC R9 290X update file, in GPU-Z show as 113-AD62700-105

Now CCC screens are correct and if ever need RMA it is how it is supposed to be.

Quiet mode

Uber mode

I had to resolve this.

The way it had come meant the wrong flash (R9 290X OC) when selected black screened in Win 7 desktop very easily, I did bios update in DOS.

I knew it was not my system as I have been running a Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X for months for gaming / folding.
