As soon as Intel rolls out its Ivy Bridge mobile processors ASUS' ultrabook offering will be updated through the release of two Zenbooks, the 11.6-inch UX21A and the 13.3-inch UX31A. Design-wise, these upcoming models are expected to resemble their predecessors (the UX21 and UX31) but they'll feature more juicy specs like (optional) Full HD IPS screens (the UX21A will have a 1366 x 768 display by default, whereas the 'base' UX31A comes with a 1600 x 900 panel), and one of three Ivy Bridge CPUs - the 1.8 GHz Core i3-3217U, 2.4 GHz Core i5-3317U or 2.8 GHz Core i7-3517U, with a 17 W TDP.

The new Zenbooks will also have Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics , 2/4 GB DDR3L memory, up to a 256 GB SATA 6.0 Gbps SSD, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, WiDI (Intel Wireless Display) support, an SDXC card reader, a micro HSMI output, two USB 3.0 ports, a backlit keyboard, and a battery enabling up to seven (UX31A) or five (UX21A) hours of operation.

The UX21A and UX31A are said to start at $1,050 and $1,100, respectively.

The first one was not very impressive, screen could be a bit better and keyboard a bit more comfy. Otherwise its quite good. (compared to MBA 11", I use both more than once a week)

I'm just hoping to pick up one of the SandyBridge based ones for blowout cheap a few days before these hit the market.
