well due to some recent "confrontations" with my cable provider, i need to find a new source for my internets
i was thinking about getting a 6mbps line and i was wondering how they compare to other internet providers? do they try any throttling bs? how is their customer service? any little tricks they like to pull why it comes to your bill?
how was/is your general experience with them?
    any input is GREATLY appreciated

I've used AT&T for phone service. If you're in the states customer service is fine and great. User agreements and terms are laid out pretty damn well.

If you live in Canada then beware. They kinda gouge the market up there.

Yeah I actually would go as far as to say I trust their company. I've had AT&T land line and cell phone. You might want to call up the representing office in your area and ask some good questions about their rates. I've never gone wrong asking the source questions. Usually phone reps try to sell you on stuff, so if they are being pushy ask for a manager. AT&T is really good at hiring great rep office managers.
