So after much thought, my brother and I decided that we needed to catch my father up with the PC of today, as he hasn't been "with the program" since the late 90's.

I managed to acquire quite a few parts for a good price, allowing me to upgrade my other rigs. So I've had some parts sitting around for the past few weeks.

It'll be crunching whenever he isn't using it, so it should put out a decent amount of PPD.

    Specs

    Some Alienware Case
    Athlon X2 2.6Ghz
    Zalman 9500A CPU cooler
    2x1GB OCZ DDR2 RAM
    ASRock A780LM motherboard
    BFG 9600GT OC
    Lite-On SATA DVD-RW Lightscribe drive
    HI-PRO 700W PSU
    2 WD 250GB IDE HDDs
    17" Dell LCD

I'm going to hook up his old school Sony stereo up for sound, he's got some great speakers my brother gave him last Christmas, so he'll be set. :D
