    What does GooWB stand for?
Also, i am sure its going to be in the 100 dollar price rag, maybe slightly cheaper, i plan to pick one up the first day its release, most likely the XT edition which is better then the Pro i read.
I am just curious to see some updated info, or pictures or something.

no, ati didn't use XT or PRO naming again(since HD 2XXX era), now they use 50 (refer to pro model) or 70 (refer to XT model)

    example :
ati radeon HD 4650 (this meant this is pro model)
ati radeon HD 4670 (this meant this is XT model)

ATI/AMD pricing I found little strange. From like forever looking at the CPUs and GPUs price/performance wise midrange had the best ratio. Now looking at the 5850 has the better price ratio than 5770.
My point is when I`m trying to pickup a card or I cpu some how I end up looking at the most expensive model because there is not too much difference in price from mid range to the fastest products. Before if you wanted to have the fastest card there was penalty to be payed for 5-10% performance crown.
Pricing is set to pull you toward the fastest and more expensive CPU/GPU.

Ya it seemed like it. People are waiting for HD 5890's and 5990's if a HD 5990 couldnt fill the series up to the last 10 digits :p.

Internally ATi still uses the XTX/XT/PRO naming scheme for their chips code name.
So the 4670 is actually the rv730 XT.
The 5870 is actually referred to as the Cypress XT.

Well its almost next year, shouldn't we hear more about when they are coming ?
I have a Sapphire 4670, but was thinking about replacing it with a HIS ICE Q 4670 card, but if the 5670 card comes out in Jan , i am just going to skip the ICE 4670 and buy this 5670. Only thing, i will be running it on a 250 PSU.
The plan is to buy the 5670 first day of release.

For G-d sake upgrade your rig properly already. Stop bullshitting with the pansy upgrades. Its annoying! Sometimes I just wanna slam your head into a desk and I mean that with respect.

You do realize that the ICEQ 4670 will be exactly the same as the Sapphire but with a different cooler right?

Um yes, but i am giving away the sapphire to a friend tho and well just thought i would replace with the cooler looking one. But most likely i am just going to wait for the 5670. :)

Upgrade? I have a eMachine le-1620 2.4ghz and i am giving this system away to a friend ( who does not have a computer or a job ) along with my Galaxy 9500GT 1GB and my Sapphire 4670. So there is no upgrade involved here. What i am doing, is going to pick up a Dual core next week, a dual core system in replace of the single core system i am giving away. The Dual core system comes with 250 PSU or 300PSU ( depending on the model i get ).

I buy a prebuilt, add a card and a external HD and i am set to go. Thats not upgrading, because i don't build computers, thats just adding basic stuff to a already built system.

Thanks, i hope to buy it day one :)

no not at all what im saying is he buys lots of junk and underpowered stuff

if u look at all his threads and add up whats hes spent on junk GPUs and prebuilt crap he could have bought a prebuilt that was actually decent

    example: http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/529668210.php

add up all the gpus and the $500 prebuilt junk and u could afford an i7 with a 4850 prebuit his posts are troll posts
Sensi Karate and TheMailMan78 say thanks.
