I have problems (suddenly random halting my XP/SP2) with the ATI Radeon drivers (Catalyst 6.8 and 6.9) for the Sapphire X1300 Pro (I play no games The XP system event viewer:
"...The driver %3 for the %2 device %1 got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly. Please check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates...."
I have uninstalled any ATI drivers from my system and installed the Omega Radeon driver, based on Catalyst 6.7, for my X1300 Pro (rad_w2kxp_omega_38273). However, this morning within 5 minutes after boot my system again a BSOD. Via the hardware accelerator I disabled the cursor and bitmap accelerations and write combining too. Unfortunately begin this evening I get again a BSOD (system event viewer reports the same cause).
I think now that there is a malfunction of my Sapphire X1300 Pro.
