    Hi guys,

Anyone have any idea the main causes of popping crackling audio from on-board audio?
My computer has only just started doing this and it happens in both the front and back audio jacks with different headphones.

Happened to me once. Thought it may be dust in the connection. Purged the tower and removed half the cotton on a q-tip. A touch of alcohol and swabbed the inside of the jack. Plugged the tower in and it worked. In your case with both ports acting the same it may be something else. Over time the prong inside the ports can become worn causing a bad connection. Have you used both ports enough equally for this to happen?

No, I rarely use the front port. I'll have a go at re-installing the drivers. If that fails, I have an old sound card
