That's one way of putting it lol....On a side note, our school just upgraded the comps in our Lab from P4's to P4's with HTT lol

Actually, I've tested 3 or 4 different 630 CPUs for overclocking (long story) - the ones I got really werent that bad, even with the stock cooler and all reached around 3.7 Ghz - the limit of the motherboard FSB.

This is on stock cooling in an small form factor case. It only took 3 mins for it to get that high :eek:

Woo...they spent their money soooo well :rolleyes:

I remember just before I left school they were talking about upgrading the computers (they were running Athlon XPs at the time) and they wanted to go to 3.2Ghz P4s because it was better value for money than 2.8Ghz Athlon 64s....

Our technician was a moron to say the least. He never came out of his office for fear he'd get something wrong lol.

Our tech is terrible too. Our old comps had 122 MB RAM, running XP SP2. For some reason he had the comps run a virus scan on startup, making it virtually impossible to do ANYTHING for 5 mins at least...those had 1.8 GHz P4's.

Jeez....ours was just a full on moron. I think he applied for the position because he had an assistant who did all the work for him, so he could hide in his office and get paid for doing nowt.

His assistant and I were really good friends though. So one day we decided to crash the system and watch him run around trying to fix it. All we did was send a remote kill command to the server, but it took him over 6 hours to figure out the server was off :laugh:

My friend was the one who requested this "upgrade". His dad is on the board of directors, so he got his way. Isn't that bad for the rest of us though, cause at least the new comps have a gig of RAM. Acutally usable now.
