hi, i have recently received a 22" viewsonic and have noticed that, when completely black, there is about 1cm of bleeding on the top and bottom; would that be considered defective? should i get a replacement, or is this normal for LCDs 20" and over?

thanks in advance :)

I believe its normal did you search for online tests/downloads? I have some backlight bleeding its expected in 22" monitors, as long as its not to bad and affecting your picture than I wouldnt worry about it.

I thought I had it bad at first but upon more reviewing I found out what I had was normal.. dont have the link it was like 1000 pages long anyway and I wass on like page 30.. lol

Yea, thats normal, mine does it on the top. At certain angles you'll should notice differences in it. It wont do anything to the picture just may annoy you if you have OCD or something =P, so fret not.
