I have Acronis 2010 running a scheduled full system backup at the end of every month. Right now, it's taking up 268GB worth of space on my storage drive, space that is now fast running out. I'm wondering what the consensus is on how long one should keep backups for before deleting them? Been doing them since january. Backups are always verified at the end of the process, so I know they're good for restoring if need be.

Are the backups incremental, or does everything get backed up each time?

I started off with incremental, but changed my mind and went with full from april onwards.

In that case, I would only keep the initial and the last one, as long as the last backup had no problems. If it was a healthy system, then you're good!
