Bang for Buck-(2)MSI R4870-MD1G Crossfired-Will wait for 5870

Just installed 2 crossfired MSI R4870-MD1G cards mating with my Gigabyte X48 DQ6.
Benchmarks are indicating 2x4870 are on par with one 5870. 2x4870 maybe 1-2% faster.
I have always wanted to crossfire and here's everybody's chance with two 1GB 4870's going for around 250-270 dollars! Nice running Warhead at 8AA enthusist.

Im thinking of doing similar - could just stick in another 4870 albeit it would only be a 512mb one rather thank upgrade to a 5850/70 or I could just sell my current 4870... what to do lol

Once drivers mature, I think a single 5870 will walk away from 4870x2 and two 4870s. Its just the scaling factor. Though, I guess we will really see how bad crossfire scaling is. It may turn out to be better than everyone thought.
