I was a hair shy of buying a 970, kinda sorry I didn't.


I asked as I wanted to see a reviewer I trusted try it with a different card, perhaps something like a 980Ti to compare the difference and one older card like a 280X or 7970 which I would call mainstream currently.

Testing another card won't change anything. The game is so screwed WB pulled the game from sale until they could fix all the performance issues. It's only the second time I've heard of a game being pulled.

Don't think many are going to bother since its so messed at the moment. If the games you play with at the settings you like don't get close to 3.5 GB buy it. If they do I'd look at the R9 390 if your sticking to a similar price point or save a few dollars and look at the 290X.

Yet the first patch they release after doing that only enables a couple missing features and has ZERO performances fixes, which some have said makes performance even worse.

DOH! I'm not sure they can afford at this point to damage their rep any further.

LOL, not from the looks of it, I think WB being involved in it is the main problem. They're probably the ones that insisted the PC port be handled by a small team with mostly console experience.

I must be one of the lucky ones. Played 39 minutes tonight, and it ran smooth as silk, even in combat.

I have settings on: Textures high, details high, shadows medium, AF at 8, light shafts on, interactive fog off.

The game sat at 59fps. I was astounded at the memory usage. About 12 GB of RAM used, and VRAM usage was between 3.5GB and 3.8GB.
