I was wondering if anyone would know why bf2 lags so badly on my pc  I've tried lowering the settings resolution etc etc but it lags unbelievably i go from 100fps to 1 everytime someone else comes on screen.

i try not to play older PC games on Vista, cause i have a stong feeling that they wont work well, especially EA games, i try to play need for speed most wanted but it stutters alot for some reason so i got rid of it, and LOTR battle for middle earth 2 is glitchy to the max

I still have my pro with an arctic silencer on it runs at room temps then jumps up to 60 when you look at the temperature sensor.
