    * OS: windows vista (service pack 2) 32-bit
    * Processor: 2 GHz dual core (Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or Althon x2 2.7 GHz)
    * Memory: 2 GB
    * Hard drive: 20 GB
    * Graphics card (AMD): DirectX 10.1 compatible with 512 MB ram (ATI Radeon 3000, 4000, 5000 or 6000 series, with ATI Radeon 3870 or higher performance)
    * Graphics card (Nvidia): DirectX 10.0 compatible with 512 MB ram (Nvidia GeForce 8, 9, 200, 300, 400 or 500 series with Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT or higher performance)
    * Sound card: DirectX compatible



    Recommended system requirements

    Secondly, NVIDIA and AMD released two new drivers today, hopefully ensuring you should have no problem running Battlefield 3.

    NVIDIA Driver version 285.38

    - Increased performance for Battlefield 3 up to 38%
    - Overall image and stability quality
    - Added or updated SLI profiles for Battlefield 3


    AMD Catalyst 11.10

    - Improves performance in Battlefield 3 open beta release for both non-Anti-Aliasing, and application enabled Anti-Aliasing cases on the AMD Radeon HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 Series for single GPU configurations
    - Improves performance in Battlefield 3 open beta release for both non-Anti-Aliasing, and application enabled Anti-Aliasing cases on CrossFire configurations using the AMD Radeon HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 Series
    - Enables support for Eyefinity 5×1 display (portrait and landscape) configurations using the AMD Radeon HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 Series
    - Vision Engine Control Center: User Interface enhancements have been implemented for the CrossfireX, GPU Overdrive, and Information Center pages.

    Well, the GeForce 300 series was OEM only. You can find them in a lot of prebuilt desktops (and some laptops). They were nVidia's first DX10.1 graphics cards, and I guess after spending so much time downplaying DX10.1 relevance, they didn't wanna make a big fuss on their release and went straight to DX11.
