I concur. Activision announces another Call of Duty game and the very same day, Electronic Arts announces another Battlefield game. I'd say they are locking horns and are going to try to out do each other for the foreseeable future. I suppose that is a good thing.

No date is mentioned by Gibeau, unlike Kotick. If it's in time for the new consoles, I'm guessing 2013 or 2014.
In the meantime DICE could always launch some DLCs to counter CoD's 2012 title.

agreed. Id hope they wait like 5 years or so to released BF4. Like they did with BF2 ----> BF3

BF3 has a lot of potential with some good DLCs

EA has allegedly confirmed the existence of Battlefield 4. According to reports on Twitter, Electronic Arts president Frank Gibeau commented that "there is going to be a Battlefield 4" during a keynote at the University of Southern California.

thanks Frank, we'll all rest easier for knowing that

What's so ridiculous about them locking horns, is that buying one doesn't preclude buying the other, lol. This is not a zero sum game.

Newsflash: There will be a Battlefield 5.

I don't need any confirmation to know that.

Cool down, they only said there was gonna be another BF! Its not like they said next year! Anyways that guy Frank Gibeau (EA president) also said making a new game every year would bring down the quality of the game, which they surely don't want.

I might also add at least EA/Dice will give us Bf3 to play for at least 2 years before they try taking our money again......Activision the Dairy farmers of PC games.Milk away and hard.... harder.... cum on Harder ....

Battlefield 4. So realistic, you're going to boot camp and then we're sending you to Afghanistan.

    No respawns.

I actually wouldn't mind to see a Bad Company 3 before they move onto a Battlefield 4 Game.

I think EA would insist on BF4 being a launch title on the next-gen consoles. That way they have an engine hammered out that they can recycle.

Saying there is going to be a BF4 is like saying there was going to be a BF3. It's not a question of if, it's a question of when.

Unlike COD, we know that will be next year in the late fall / early winter. So I don't see this as a bad thing. we all know there will be a BF4, and if it's next year I won't buy it, but I would be willing to put money down that it won't be.
