+1 To this. People always think they "know better" and do all these "innocent" tweaks to their system and then blame the game for not being stable. I'm not saying BF4 is a powerhouse of stability but its no where near as bad as people claim. I think 90% of people complaining is from user error by 1337 comp00ter hax0rz. BF has always been a solid test for stability. If your bombing LOTS then chances are your system isn't stable.

Just the occasional OC which has never given me any problems in BF3. But I did get BF3 like 6-7 months after it was released so I didn't experience too many bugs/crashes. Put a lot of enjoyable hours into that game. So, to play fair when I get my R290, I will do a reformat and run everything stock. Install everything to the T and we'll see if the CTD keeps happening. I'm just glad I paid $70 total for BF4 + Premium and not full retail price.

Wow this has been a couple of interesting pages to read. You guys should of just jumped on TS and yelled it out of your systems
It is funny though because I'm like a moderate in this battle. I agree with both sides. People do load I lot of garbage on their
computers, but EA and Dice have to get this together soon. I don't let anyone use my gamer. I do not load any crap programs
on it and only browse legit sites. My laptop gets the dirty work. With that said I had very few crashes. Maybe 3 and they were
more like the game froze and I had to reboot. I did have the dizzy bug and the audio bug though.

Just played an entire round of Gonad Railway without a single audio bug, audio loop or CTD, so some improvements have been made. The map still sucks, however.

Plus, spawn shot, spawn shot, spawn shot, etc.

Passionately hate that! Even though you can easily do it yourself, watch one guy, oh wait, three spawn and instantly get four kills for it... They need to sort that even if I do profit from it...haha

As for stability, only problem I had was when Origin was trying to sync cloud data and it just sat that... Simply reloaded origin and replaced server with local content and all was good.

Both CPU and GPU are overclocked and game doesn't crash etc.

I throw nades spontaneously into rooms just to clear out any coward camping in there before I run in............and im not hacking.

Also you are never told that you are spotted by the enemy in game, so you could have been spotted, especially if there was a UAV up above.

Or he is just that bad at spelling like he said. He is an Artist, not an English teacher.

Would you like to treat us with some of your own samples of proper code, for a game as complex as BF?

You don't need a master engineer degree to see the difference in game code from BC2 vs this. Surely these new engines look better and maybe feel smoother but killing people had much less lag/bs on screen with BC2.

+1. From a technical standpoint, the game is far from a failure, besides the VERY rare crashes I have on my system, The game runs perfectly fine for me, I didn't do any tricky stuff on my system, just have it work the way it was intended to be, a little OC but that is all. I don't know with windows 8 but 7 seems to be running much more stable from what I've seen. If you look at my stats my quit rate is just 7.56% so I really finish every match.

I mostly play on two to three servers only and I almost know all the regulars there, I could observe that they don't crash that much either(we start match, then everyone finishes the game with full-game scores). I view all my battle reports every game and If there's any I only notice a few people has failed to complete the match. I am also a member on facebook group about Battlefield which has 700+ members and no one has been reporting any game-breaking crashes ("It crashes so much I can't even play the game!")

Also the supposed "number 1 problem = bad netcode" doesn't bother me at all, I could hit people very well, my bullets seem to follow the laws of tickrate and if there's that occasional delay or unregistered hits, I just laugh about it. I still could play very good. Maybe i'm used to all the delays coming from a third world internet.

I don't have any issues killing people and I get a lot less "running behind rock and die" than I used to in BF3 or BC2. The only thing I found in BF4 that's different is the one hit kill glitch. But that's a two way street. Its random and really cannot be exploited so it works for you just as much against you.

Can't argue with that. And I don't think you can really consider a moving control point a "levolution event". Though the 50 cal guns on the train are kinda cool. The first time I got killed by one and the whole train lit up orange in the kill cam I was pretty confused.

Probably because everything in BC2 was server side (Mind you even then the hit detection was garbage), where as now its a mixture of client and server.

Is that definitely true? I'm just not sure when the "mix" started. Everything definitely used to be server-side, traditionally at least...and yes there were plenty of problems and complaints with BC2 hit reg I remember. I can't really speak for BF2 or 2142 as I essentially missed that period cuz I was quite drunk lol (and doing other things like going out). I do know they totally broke BF2 with a patch once though.

has to be some sort of mix for commander and spectator modes to work as well as they do.

I've sat here and watched the guys on TS play a few times, and was rather impressed by how seamless it really was. Having the TS to have verbal feedback on what was going on as it happened on my screen...there was little-to-no delay between the action.

Well crap. Just had my first audio loop crash in awhile, sucks cause I lost a promotion, a medal, a ton of ribbons, and a really nice K/D. That's the worst thing about the bugginess: all the wasted time and effort.

never re-join a server mid-map, and htat's not an issue. it takes for the round to end before the points appear in battlelog.

Well, I guess I should say wasn't an issue...when the game first launched that was a bit of a problem, but I found that the unlocks I thought I lost appeared later, like a day or three later.

Dont reconnect you should get it unless the server crashes too! Even after all this BS and time I have only lost stats once. A 12-4 w/ AMTRAC rampage on the roof on the garage in flood zone (they just kept coming and dying) that I could really use the 8 kills from right now though.

I got my unlocks no prob too (which I care about most at this point) but like anything your results may vary.

I'll wait and see, but I seems like I have always lost a majority of my progress when crashing. Maybe it's because I get the hard audio loop crash that I have to end in the task manager, or maybe I'm just full of it - I'll pay more attention to see if this medal shows up. I suppose I may have gotten some of the lost points in the past but didn't noticed because I re-earned the lost achievements prior to battlelog catching up. It really sucks for the quit percentage, though.

Anyone else have a hard time with keyboard inputs not registering on TPU? Keyboard works fine everywhere else.

Really? Hell you can even use it to erase/overwrite really bad stats...not that I ever do that. Actually I really don't but not gonna say I never have. Ahem.

What I remember is Crazyeye's loosing his mind over it on TS. It could be pretty comical  Where is that son a bitch anyway ?

If it is like BF3 just don't back to the same server or you will lose everything. Not sure if this one works that way, but I don't go back to a server I crashed from or had to leave during that match or it starts you all over again.

Or maybe she lacks olfactory receptors and doesn't mind the results of his massive pizza/chili dog binges. Hell, maybe she can put down 8 chili dogs and not bat an eye. Whatever it is it's the stuff that dreams are made of.
