Do people still play BF3? I used to play the shit out of BF3 on PS3 when I was laid up from a spinal cord thing, I've been tempted to get it for PC but idk if people still play. BF4 was ... unsatisfying lol

My biggest gripe is the collision physics. They're abysmal.

Tracked vehicles that bounce over terrain as if the vehicle was made of paper and filled with helium.
Boats that submerge in slightly choppy water
Planes that fall from the sky slower than dead bodies
and our favourite, soldiers that get stuck on kerb stones.

Dice should implement more of an Assassins Creed auto movement - if you run - you hop, skip and jump over terrain. But, no it's "oh, woe is me, I'm chasing down a tank with my RPG and I've been vexed by a 6 inch kerbstone."

I do like the game but sometimes it's just awful.

This aggravates me to no end. Just poor quality control testing.

Or tracked vehicles that get stuck on tree stumps in Zavod.

So i just tried to join this a server and this happened.

Its a French server that bans UK IPs- They probably ban IPs from other countries too but wow.

Gonna throw this up in the BF4 forums too, Im sure this is possibly breaching some sort of ToS

Just got something in my inbox. I think he's spot on, and we don't always agree on things either.

"You wanna know what happen to BF4? Mantel. How much you wanna bet when the smoke clears Mantel will be the culprit?"

I'll wait for him to come in here in a few months and say "I told you so".

Atleast back in 2002, the bugs were more fun (the gamebreaking 1.4 patch with the Superman Glitch):

This revolutionized Omaha Beach... The Allies debuted their new super solder, capable of superhuman flight!

Or the never fixed wing riding glitch

Which allowed a team of engineers to repair a bomber mid-flight!

Picking up the carrier with the submarine

Or drive a car into an AA gun for instant flight

I think the only one EA fixed was the superman glitch, which was introduced with one of their patches one year after the game was made!

So I just found out that there are different kinds of bombs on the bomber that you can use on the China Rising maps..........I feel like an idiot for not knowing this. :(

Aw and here I thought that was a special PM just for me. Care to elaborate on the statement? My Mantle knowledge is limited and experience level is none but I guess I don't really see offhand how an optional renderer could affect the base game itself even for those using DX11. I guess I did not think any "Mantle code" was actually in the game itself but maybe I am wrong there.

Oh yeah. There are plenty of servers up and going. Hell BFBC2 still has people playing.
I jump on Panama Canal once in awhile just for the Halibut. It does seem a bit clunky
now, but at least it isn't full of bug's.

This game was broken in some areas before Mantle. But.. one can blame whatever they want. I'll chalk it up to incompetence on EA/DICE's part.

How do I get sensitivity higher, I have it set to 100% and its still not fast enough. Using a simple windows mouse with a slick mousepad. I like this mouse a lot, should be possible to get it higher I'd think. Is there a text file I can edit or anything?

You buy a Logitech G300 Or even an Anker 8200DPi Gaming Mouse for the same price. Both these mice have uber positive reviews and are very easy on the wallet.

LOL I bought the Premium service from a site called Gameholds for $37. Very shady website. The key worked though. Got tired of only playing Locker, most of the Vanilla only servers only have locker.
