I played a bit of Lost Islands TDM and it was horrible. Even on low settings I had rubberbanding. It was unplayable, not just annoying but actually impossible to play. I normally run a mix of high and ultra. WTF?

It's laggy server issue. Not your fault.

Prior map was Paracel and was pegged at 70 fps, perfect, but its quite possible.

Is Lost Islands the one with the hill everyone fights over on Carrier Assault that has the old cannon on it? If so I think it's the map. It was fine when the DLC launched, but after one of the server patches, it became a lagging mess.

Nope, Lost Islands is the one with the crashed airliner in the middle.

Like was stated, it's a server deal, when you get a round like that just find a new one. But, with all of the goofy and unnecessary tweaking you do with your machine and settings for this game it really is a crapshoot to speculate on your experiences.

I have finally figured that out. If I'm on a crap server chances are it is on the server side. I'm still sucking
shit most of the time, but I have an occasional good round that makes me stick with it.

Thanks, I run everything 100% stock no overclock, non-beta nvidia drivers, stock driver profile, and I am using a cfg file with
    perfoverlay.drawfps 1
    gametime.maxvariablefps 70

and game settings mix of high and ultra, vsync off, and network smoothing at its lowest setting

so I guess thats goofy and unnecessary tweaking in your book. Thanks for the pro tip. Was it truly necessary to troll with that post? You got me bro: I put effort into getting this game to run well and ultimately found that the cfg file fixed the latency problems I had.

Looks like an attempt at amalgamating Rainbow Six Vegas with Payday The Heist. I'm not sold on 32 liquor store robbers vs 32 cops, especially when the robbers are mounting cloth to a flag pole and shooting down police tanks with heat guided rocket launchers in order to claim some form of "victory". Makes robbing a liquor store almost seem uneconomical...

Also which side has the F-22's? The millionaire thugs or the state police?

I just saw the "omaha" video going around for BF:HArdshit and I am so underwhelmed by it.

    1. It looks like a GTA/BF mashup for the single player component.
    2. Multiplayer is going to be a few modes centered around cops vs. robbers.
    3. Destruction.
    4. Rubberbanding galore.
    5. New "urban" setting.

So basically a SP game with the battlefield name tacked on. Meh, pass.

I know what you mean, the shortcut kits for classes/weapons/vehicles. This is different, you can now pay:

    $1 for a bronze battlepack
    $2 for a silver battlepack
    $3 for a gold battlepack

One positive is that you don't have to eat that awful slim jim jerky. :p

For those that are permanent noobs, battlepacks are a little satisfaction in a world of pain...... :)

Also not overwhelmed with BF Hardcop but for sure it will look good. But I rather had BF1942 Version 2.

Well if you haven't bought it yet chances are you weren't going to any way. I see they are giving BF3 away now.
Marketing I'm thinking to try and lure more to buy Brokenfield 4. It has improved lately though. I only play a
    hand full of maps though.
I think EA should make sure Hardline works good before releasing and give to all premium players free for sticking it out with BF4. If you ranked above 10 you get it:D

woo hoo... So many bugs to fix and so much time taken.. My BF4 hype-meter is pretty much on empty. I've played the game a lot and I'm just pretty burnt out on it. It's just kinda late to save the party.
