there were a few mods about that fixed that. Unfortunately it was a bit hit&miss - I managed to get 64bots but i couldnt find a way to unlock the bigger maps, having 63 bots squeezed into a 32player sized map is pretty hilarious

I remember having unlocked the BF2 64 player maps and even put the bots up to 128, that was real war.

It would be awesome to play with friends against bots multiplayer style in BF4, not some linear storyline campaign or COOP missions.

Battlefield 4's Battlelog will incorporate a second screen into play, allowing users to utilize a tablet as a dynamic mini-map during matches, or as a stat-tracking ...

Has to be done!

I assume I could run my laptop next to my gamer. Of course you
would have to be able to log in on multiple computers to do it that way.

mp1st - Battlefield 4 After-Match Report Now Shows Next Map in Rotation, [Update: Vehicle Decals Spotted]

Originally spotted by “JumboNess” in the recent Battlefield 4 Battlelog trailer, you can see in the screen capture below that the next map is clearly indicated when finishing up a previous match.

While it is a real nit-pick, it has been a heavily requested feature since the launch of Battlefield 3 in 2011. Currently, players are unaware as to what map they will be entering into upon ending a match in Battlefield 3 – that is unless, of course, you have the entire map rotation memorized.

Pretty cool! What are some other missing Battlefield 3 features that you hope make it into Battlefield 4?

If you missed it, we caught a few other nifty surprises from the Battlelog trailer, including a new snow-covered map and how joining a match as a spectator works. Check it out here!

Thanks, JoyPad.

Update

Taken from the Battlefield 4 Alpha Trial, the screen below shows off not only customizable vehicle camoflauge patterns, but also the ability to display clan emblems or decals somewhere on the exterior.

We’ve already confirmed that soldier and weapon camos will be a part of Battlefield 4, but it appears that we might have even more customization options to look forward to with regards to vehicles.

Thanks, Bf4cental

What do you guys think? Cool, or gimmicky. Keep in mind that the image is from the Alpha trial, meaning what you see might not be anywhere near final.

EXAMINER - Battlefield 4’ developer responds to graphics and China DLC concerns (Photos)

A spokesperson from Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment has provided a few statements to address some of the concerns involving the upcoming “Battlefield 4.” One of the fan expressed that he was worried about the graphics from the Xbox 360 version of the first-person shooter as he can’t upgrade to the other, more powerful platforms. The developer stated through Twitter on July 28 that the video game will look “beautifully” no matter what system it is being played on. You can check out the comments below (courtesy of the official “Battlefield” Twitter page):

Built on Frostbite 3, Battlefield 4 will look and play beautifully on all platforms when it launches later this year.

The Frostbite 3 is a multiplatform graphics engine with improved tessellation and destruction features when compared to the Frostbite 2, which powered “Battlefield 3.” So although the Xbox 360 is eight-years-old, Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment promised that “Battlefield 4” will still be visually impressive.

The spokesperson also provided some clarification regards to the DLC releases of the first-person shooter. The China Rising expansion pack will come with all pre-orders of “Battlefield 4” while the others, including Second Strike, are expected to come out at a later date with the Xbox platforms getting timed-exclusivity.

Electronic Arts will be publishing and releasing their video game starting on Oct. 29. You can find some “Battlefield 4” screenshots in the slideshow located at the top of this article. You can pre-order the products from Amazon in the following links: “Battlefield 4,” PS4 and Xbox One

--I POSTED THIS MAINLY FOR THEIR STATEMENT THAT :"ALL THE OTHER" DLC, besides the pre-order DLC China Rising WILL GET xBOX 1 TIMED EXCLUSIVITY.

Examiner.com -' Battlefield 4 custom vehicle decals and emblems discussed'

Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment may be adding support for custom vehicle decals and emblems in the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Battlefield 4.” According to a report by BF4 Blog on July 28, players from the alpha version of the first-person shooter discovered several user-created logos on a fighter jet and tank.

View slideshow: ‘Battlefield 4’ custom vehicle decals and emblems discussed
In “Battlefield 4,” players can customize their platoon symbols with an editor. The aforesaid vehicle decals and emblems feature may allow them to import these images from the Battlelog menu to the in-game textures.

In addition to fighter jets and tanks, the first-person shooter also supports the following vehicle types: armored personnel carriers, helicopters and transport vehicles. At this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, Electronic Arts also confirmed that players can ride jet skis and attack boats. The vehicles feature camouflage options in addition to the potential custom vehicle decals and emblems.

The alpha version of “Battlefield 4” is currently being tested by a select group of the community. Invitations were sent out last month with no more being planned at the moment. The public beta test is still scheduled to begin later this fall for qualified individuals.

The final iteration of “Battlefield 4” will be released first for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on Oct. 29. It should also be available for the PS4 and Xbox One whenever the next-generation systems are released. Some screenshots of the first-person shooting video game are located in the slideshow on top of this article. You can pre-order the products from Amazon in the following links: “Battlefield 4,” PS4 and Xbox One

idigital times -Battlefield 4 Release Date Could See Return To Kharg Island According To Latest Trailer[REPORT]

It's only been a few days since Electronic Arts and DICE trotted out a host of changes coming to the Battlelog system when the Battlefield 4 release date arrives later this year, but new rumors may already be helping paint a clearer picture of the first Battlefield 4 DLC coming after the game's launch this October.

Just over a month after Electronic Arts unveiled the Second Assault DLC, an upcoming Battlefield 4 DLC pack which will port several of the most popular Battlefield 3 multiplayer maps over to the Frostbite 3 Engine, new rumors suggest Kharg Island could be added to the game's Second Assault DLC. Of course, while Electronic Arts has already confirmed that the Chin Rising DLC will arrive alongside the next Battlefield on the Battlefield 4 release date, we still know next to nothing about the planned Second Assault multiplayer map pack.

Previously, Caspian Border and Metro were teased as two of the four maps that would be getting the Frostbite 3 treatment by a member of the Battlefield 4 dev team; however, it was actually the recent Battlelog teaser which may have let the Kharg Island cat out of the bag. The eagle-eyed folks at BF4Central.com spotted references to both Caspian Border and Kharg Island in the recent Battlelog 2.0 preview from DICE, each of which is mentioned in a server browser that briefly appears on-screen during the Battlefield 4 video.

Outside of confirming names (China Rising, Second Assault) of the first two Battlefield 4 DLC add-ons, neither Electronic Arts nor DICE have come forward with concrete information on the post-launch content currently being developed for Battlefield 4, other than the aforementioned teasers the dev team. Fortunately, with Battlefield 4 slated for a late October debut, the beginning of EA's previously promised Battlefield 4 beta should be just around the corner.

Head over to BF4Central.com to see a screenshot of the server browser in question, or take a few minutes to watch the latest Battlefield 4 preview video from DICE to see the Caspian Border and Kharg Island references for yourself:

Be sure to check back with iDigitalTimes.com and follow Scott on Twitter for all the latest on the Battlefield 4 as new announcements and rumors regarding the game continue to emerge in the months leading up to the Battlefield 4 release date on October 29.

Which maps would you like to see included in the Battlefield 4 Second Assault DLC? More interested in the contents of the China Rising DLC being given away to those who pre-order a copy of Battlefield 4? Already planning to purchase a Season Pass on the Battlefield 4 release date?

Let us know in the comments section!

David VeselkaAugust 01, 2013

A number of brand new Battlefield 4 multiplayer gameplay videos have hit the Tubes after a handful of Battlefield personalities were sent clips from a recent EA play session in Los Angeles.

All footage has been recorded using the brand new Spectator Mode with the HUD turned off so you can enjoy the beauty of Battlefield 4 in its most recent build.

Here's kind of a pointless video

pixelenemy - Battlefield 4 multiplayer gameplay shows us how the game looks in “Ultra” settings

Earlier today, we posted a few clips showing off Battlefield 4′s multiplayer from EA’s recent Los Angeles play session.

Well, if that wasn’t enough, we have one more clip for you and this one shows the game running in “Ultra” settings. For those unfamiliar, Ultra is the best graphical setting Battlefield 4 can run on and I gather a ton of people would want to see that.

Of course, keep in mind the game is still being developed, so there’s a chance that the visuals might get even better.

What do you think of BF4′s graphics in Ultra? Better compared to BF3 or just the same with a different coat of paint?

this is alpha footage, without textures on any of the environment, only the soldiers and vehicles!

I kind of like the idea of suppression in the effect of blurring your vision so that it keeps you down and from doing stupid stuff. I think they should keep that aspect of it but not the bullet deviation. That makes no sense as even if I can't really see what I'm shooting at, I want to be able to hit what I'm aiming at.

edit: So I was reading something over on Reddit just a little bit ago and got me thinking, how much do you think the commander will be listened to? Right now it seems that few squad leaders give orders and even fewer follow them when they do give them. I never played too much BF2 so I don't know much about that but it would seem to me that BF4 is going to end up with some that are good commanders but are never listened to because people are more concerned about doing their own thing for the most part.

Also does anyone know if only the squad leader will know the orders from the commander or if the whole squad will know them?
