I don't think they actually do the hand plant. But I know for sure it's an awkward jump that you noticeably move slow and high step of some sort. Will happen a lot going up hills (because it thinks you are trying to leap the hill I guess), and sometimes while going down hills.

Also the rock, paper, scissors mechanics with knifing I hadn't even gone into. You must be behind your target, or at shoulders side. Or you can sprint directly at them, jump, fly through the air, turn around in mid air, grab on and cinematic knife. Just some stupid mechanics, you can only cinematic knife if your character actually does an animation raising his hand in the air. Even if you know it should be a lock, it won't be unless that happens (this is if you have your knife out). If you don't have the knife out and it should be lock, but it isn't, you just swipe them and are stuck with the knife out and your pants down as they turn around and ask you what the hell you are doing before inserting the barrel into your unmentionables. (This cinematic topic fills me with rage)

Wow! I didn't see that coming. I wonder if EA will lay all there short comings onto him? I bet so.

EDIT: I guess with all the crap going on with SimCity it's not surprising... Now that I think about it.

    Your points are valid.

However, in order for a game to move forward, it needs to take steps. Completely ignore what can be and will be is just standing still.

For me, the current animation's flaws are acceptable and don't really affect me and probably the majority of players since people are using guns more now then in bfbc2.

Gotta get in the uncanny valley before you get out

Log in to the Battlefield 4 home page, and get an "I Was There" dogtag.

Says to come back March 27 for a first look at a video.

Of course, there's always risky steps to be made. But sticking with them into the next game is what I'm concerned about. I wouldn't say more people are using guns now, that would mean they weren't using guns before. And to be honest, I see just as many knifers in BF3 as I did in BC2.

In BC2 the knife had a use, in BF3 it just doesn't. Broken locks, too long time to kill, even trying to use it as stealth risking a broken lock or that long kill time to get spotted, I almost always just fire my gun instead rather than risk using the stealthy weapon I should be using in CQ on a single target with their back to me.

I agree. These days, I often come across enemies with their back facing me and instead of knifing the, I shoot them since the act of knifing takes too long and has the big chance of being shot in the process.I have also, experienced the strange occurrence of being knifed by the person I am in the process of knifing. Go back to BC2 knifing, more fun, less fuss. The cinematics are cool but are not needed.

For me knifing in BF3 is bugged but its the best things they added in the game. The whole point is to make the victim suffer a longer death instead of regular "killed by".
The most omfg wtf moments are when your whole squad is on a silent knife rape.

PS.I'm at around 1300 melee kills but my friend is almost at 5000 lol.

The cinematics don't make me suffer, knowing they have my tags is what makes me suffer, and BC2 has the samething, just better stat tracking for it.

Looks more like artwork to me.
I'd really like to see less hype on how good it looks.
fix current bugz and add destruction from BC2 and I'm happy.

Why must you ruin it!? :banghead:

I don't care, its the fact that it can look like that. And leaked pictures, were never that far off for BF3 I don't think.

I will be first in line to buy BF4 if the game looks that good. It won't though. It will look just like BF3.

yes. the objective of BF4 is to get to the nuke as fast as possible. the problem is to actually make it explode you need to shell out for the "premium" pack

    Jesus what, a propeller?

Captain Obvious? I don't think anyone thought BF4 was going to look worse than BF3.
