Has anybody had any experience with this beast:

    http://www.n52te.com/

It's evidently pricey, but looks potentially tasty.

That just looks awkward to use.

    I use it.

It has its ups and downs.

My biggest complaint is unlike the number pad, which is what I usually map all my keys to, the n52te is laid out length wise, so they basically flipped the num pad 90 degrees (in physical appearance only). It took me a while to get used to the layout . Once you do though it is pretty handy, especially the macro abilities.

You can map any key or macro to any of the keys, including the 4 way hat.

Works great in most FPS and RTS games. However with games like Oblivion where you can have 20 quick slots, it isn't so great.

Well, I'm currently using a Zboard merc, which I find much more comfortable gaming on.
The actual keyboard is rather naff though.

What I'm contemplating is getting a good keyboard and a separate gaming pad.
Hence my interest in this beast.
