I have a budget 5.1 model, creative inspire 5300s. I can't even play with 2.1 anymore, it sounds so cheap, chinsy, hollow...

I have 30w RMS 2.1 Dell speakers, they sound pretty good, the sub is nice turned up especially when you crank it, even better with X-Fi Crystalizer, no doubt Logitech would be better since Dell fail at pretty much everything. Personally though, I'd save the money and get a good pair of speakers like the Z-2300. That's what I would do if I was going 2.1, but I'm going 5.1 for the bigger sub :rockout:

I remember the guns in BF2 sounding nothing more than cheap toys (they still do really) but I remember the AK-47 being the worst. I nexer wanted to use it because it sounded so terrible. Now is sounds 10 times better. However you can't change the core audio file (or you get kicked for modified content... oh boy he has different sounds run) so it will always suck but better speakers help.

Ordered the Logitech X-230s for £24.99 delivered. Got to wait a week, but I dont mind at that price, I'm not here most of this week anyway.
