Hello everyone,

I am considering adding a 3rd monitor to my PC to run eyefinity for gaming and such. I have my eyes set mostly on a 5850/5870. What are your opinions on those cards for eyefinity? Also, what card would be best, 5970 perhaps? Thanks in advance for any input. :toast:

get an Eyefinity6 2GB. You won't be able to play games with high settings anyway, so I think 2 gpus is almost wasteful. I play most supported titles with medium settings...seems to work OK, and the second card seems to do little in my system. You got a better cpu though, so that might be different for you.

I'm gonna give singlecard a try for a while, and see how well things play. I'll be able to give you better feedback in a couple of days.

I was hoping to stay single card as well, having dual cards has not gone well for me, most games I had better FPS with a single card. So it's either a 5850/5870/5970.
